In all my vivid imaginations, I didn’t envision that one day, I would be lucky enough to bring characters to life every day. Now, I’m living my dreams.
After a 10 year pause on my acting career to raise 4 boys, I didn’t think that there was a way to continue acting and be a parent. Then, Audiobooks came into my life.
I was an avid listener to audiobooks, even back when they were on CD’s at the library. Before we had our children, my husband and I would listen to books-on-tape during my audition travels around the country. As technology evolved, I continued to listen to them on my phone. It occurred to me one day, that I could actually be a narrator. I only wish I had pursued a career in narration sooner.
I have a BA in Theatre from Purdue University with several years of professional vocal music training. I spent many years pursuing my career as a musical theatre actress. In those years, I minored in dance, trained in several accents, and completed a certification in stage combat. I taught music for 2 years from K to 8th grade. I have choreographed and directed shows and concerts for many local schools over the past 20 years. In my travels pursuing my career, I lived in Florida and New York performing and I trained in Chicago. One way that I tried to stay involved in theatre, while raising my children, was to House Manage at The Historical Embassy Theatre for 9 years. My background in theatre and music is truly my foundation for my narration. I enjoy being able to apply all my years of training back into my job once again.
I settled into Audiobook Narration in 2021. I have always loved reading books, therefore I fully immersed myself into the book community. With a passion for working with independent authors, I have recorded several books and have established working relationships with repeat authors. I enjoy many different genres including Fantasy, Romance, Mystery, Suspense, Sci Fi, Woman’s Lit, Young Adult, and Children’s. One of my favorite aspects of my job is being able to choose the voices that give my characters the life they deserve.
I reside in Indiana, where my husband and I are both originally from. We live in the beautiful country, with 6 acres of woods, where we can enjoy the quiet life and snuggle up with a coffee and a good book.
